On the night of June 17, during a massive shelling of Kyiv, a Russian drone destroyed a section of the dormitory of the Kyiv Aviation Institute. Colleges in the Darnytskyi and Solomyanskyi districts were left without windows. Two families of KAI employees lost their homes on Vaclav Havel Street.
